Narges Abyar, the director of Track 143 expressed her sorrowful opinion about the endless wars her country mourns about. She said that most of the families in Iran have lost atleast a member of their family in wars. While speaking about her film, she explained that it is an anti – war film through which she wanted to prove everyone that we are affected by wars but would love to be in a country of peace.
‘My film is a tribute to Sanjayan, the multitalented and legendry comedian, writer, poet, freedom fighter, teacher and what not’ said Santhosh T K, director of the film The Enlightened (Vidhooshakan). He made this remark at the Meet the Director Session on the sixth day of 19th IFFK. He also said that he and his crew had shown maximum justice to the legend.
‘We had a total of 8 crew members and we shot the whole film with two lights’ said Adityavikram Sengupta, the director, editor, cinematographer of the film Labour of Love. Srihari Sathe; director, producer, editor of Thousand Rupee Note, who also attended the session expressed the honor in presenting his film in the fest and also added that his debut film is not a Marathi film but a film in Marathi language. ‘Film festivals were my greatest inspiration to be a film maker’ said N K Muhammed Koya, director of Alif. He also thanked all the viewers for their whole hearted appreciation.
Tala Hadid (Director of The Narrow Frame of Midnight), Ananth Narayan Mahadevan (Director and Screenwriter of Gour Hari Dastaan – The Freedom File), C P Surendran (Screenwriter of Gour Hari Dastaan – The Freedom File), Shekar Sathe (Producer of Thousand Rupee Note) also attended the session.
